Simple Computer Aided Railway Modeller

This is a dedicated tool for easy creation of transition curves (easements) with flex tracks. It is based on the Euler spiral algorithm with linear approximation and allows creating compact and precise transition curves with just a couple of clicks.

To use the new tool, select a free start point on the plan and then click on “Tools” > “Transition curve…” menu item. In the tool’s window, select the desired flex track, then the transition type (Straight-to-Curve or Curve-to-Straight), the curve radius and angle, as well as the direction (Left or Right), and finally press the “Create” button – a new easement built with flexes should appear as selected on the layout with all the chosen parameters.
