Description

Here is how the author describes his layout design:

"I am in the process of starting my first real layout. I managed to get my beloved wife to agree to let me build a narrow layout to put in the corner of our living room, hence the odd size. Anyway, my idea was for a small branch line in the Rocky mountains. I ended up picking UP because the first good loco I nabbed was a UP, and they are out west so it fit. The plan also includes features from home as well with the bridge, tunnel, bridge in the back. This idea was from the ET&WNC's Doe River Gorge in east TN. The plan started with a main loop and several short yard tracks, then grew to include an Atlas turntable. My rough era is the 1920's but I am not going to rivet count it, just get as close as I can."
