Description

Prototype

The Reko family of passenger coaches (Rekowagen) includes 2-, 3-, and 4-axle versions, all rebuild from old prewar wagons in order to be used in postwar passenger services of Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in the former East Germany. In the middle of the 1970s, more than half of all DR passenger coaches were Reko cars. The first reconstructed prototype was produced in 1956, and after prolonged test period was followed by many other versions from 1960 onwards.

Model

The virtual model for SCARM MTS is based on mixture of details, taken from the prototype drawings and real scaled model in H0 (1/87) scale, produced by PIKO. The featured version is Bage, whish is described as 3-axle passenger car with rubber shielded pass-through and electric heating. All major dimensions are preserved and most notable details are represented in the virtual model.
